The Call: Korean Movie[2020 film]

Language:
As you can see this specific poster does not follow the expected codes and conventions of a standard  movie poster. Even though it only has the title and release date , which is odd for a movie poster , it still does well without the tag line and billing block. The effect that is created from this poster is quite fascinating as it engulfs you into your imagination and what the movie would be like because it has more space than regular posters to show you more of what it looks like. The title of the movie "The Call" is written in a scruffy white as if it was carved and right on top of the C you can make out a tiny Devil horn which a great indicator for the audience to figure out that this is a horror/thriller type of movie. Just from looking at the characters facial expressions on the poster you can tell what type of people they're going to be throughout the show. The glass shards with the woman's face on it has a sinister expression on it, the  shards are all pointing towards the character in the middle who has an expression of trepidation written all over it. Since all the shards are surrounding the woman in the center this could suggest that she may be the main character.  All these factors may enhance the feeling of  a thrill.
Industries:                                                                                The Call is a 2020 South Korea film directed by Lee Chung-hyun , starring Park Shin-hye and Jeon Jong-seo. The initial release date for this movie was 27 November 2020 and it was based on the movie The Caller by Sergio Casci . This movie is distributed by Netflix and  Next Entertainment World it was also awarded Baeksang Arts award for best female leading actress in film.                                                                                                                Audiences:                                                                    The target audience for  this film would be around  14+ and  upwards the target audience for this movie would be majority female. This is because  their are two female leads , which most men wouldn't  find very intriguing; stereotypically .The film would provide great escapism for the female audience because it's jam packed full of puzzles to piece together as woman like to extensively use their brains.                                                                               Representation:                                                                There are two people in this movie poster so it may be quite easy for people who are involved in media/ media industry to analyse the poster and the characters ; whereas for people not involved, it may be difficult. There is an obvious distinction between these two characters but in this. What defines Good Vs Evil ?One of the female characters are being surrounded by the other which could suggest betrayal. The surrounded character also has a helpless expression on her face which could suggest that she may arguably be the "Good" character. However the character surrounding her has a sinister expression on her face , you can see the malicious intent behind her eyes. This could suggest that her character may arguably be the "Evil" character.
